These 6 step guide will show you how to unclog a toilet:

Before you begin to unclog your toilet, you will need the perfect plunger. This perfect plunger is called a flange or ball plunger.

Step 1

Place the plunger into the clogged toilet. Let the air bubble out from inside the plunger as you lower it into the water.

Step 2

Position the plunger snugly in the toilet bowl to form a seal that will help you push the blockage out of the pipe.

Step 3

Perform a quick plunging motion. This will help you force air into the pipes and push the blockage out of the way. If you are successful, the water level should decrease.

Step 4

Fill a bucket with a gallon or 4 litres of water. Pour the water slowly into the toilet bowl, If the water level decreases, the blockage is out of the way so you are good to flush.

Step 5

If the water level does not drop, repeat the plunging motion as describe in step 3. Then pour another gallon or 4 litres of water into the toilet bowl to test it before flushing.

Step 6

If you repeat step 3 and 4 and the blockage is not out of the way, it could mean that something has gotten into the plumbing. If this is the case, you should call Draintony as soon as possible to help you unclog your toilet.
